Chapters 20-30

So im finally done with the reading , and i must say, the story is getting interesting !
I'm really happy that Doug is back and i feel really sorry for his back problems.
Billy started out as really funny but then his whole 'horse' obsession started to get little  tedious.
Ellen is starting to have some attitude the way she threw Sheila's letter instead of giving it to Billy.
she is also really interested in fortune telling and supernatural stuff.
In ch29 , Percy starts to have feelings for Ellen which i think is rather cute, at least he's not as mean and stubborn as Billy is. So they're back in London now , and i agree with all of them that the countryside is just marvelous. The way the author described the field covered with snow and the leafless trees just seemed so serene and peaceful.
Doug should let Hilda get the job because they really are running low on money and hopefully the army will pay for Doug's full pension.
Looking forward for the coming chapters.
P.S : Did u know that Luftwaffe means german air forces ? no u didn't heh , and i like how the setting is in Hitlers time in the World War .

Chapters 4-10 Lost Angel

So the summary of the story is basically that hilda and ellen continue to live with gertie for over 2 years celebrating ellen's birthday and getting 2 visits from hilda's husband doug. Gertie is feeling jealous and furious whenever she sees Doug with Hilda as Gertie's childhood feelings for Hilda start to get stronger. Chapter 10 ends by Hilda falling seriously illl after taking care of both Ellen and Gertie's sickness. Here are some main points which got be thinking and anticipating what's going to happen next.

• First, Gertie's growing feelings for Hilda are getting much more serious that Gertie wishes for Doug to drown! Doug noticed Gertie's hatred towards him that he tries to warn Hilda of Gertie's feelings for her.Hilda wont listen to him and denies any feelings between her and Gertie.
• Second,there was an incident when Hilda was in the culinary and felt that someone was standing beside her. She thinks it's Doug's ghost but then shuns the idea away. Hilda later discusses this with Gertie thinking that the house might be haunted by ghosts. Gertie says she does not believe in ghosts and that Hilda was just hallucinating. I think this might be an important point later on, that the house might be in fact haunted by spirits of the afterlife.
• Third,this is just an important point in the story, Ellen had reached her puberty on her 12th birthday. In  addition, Ellen seems to grow a strong bond between her and the country side. She seems to like Gertie and the animals that she even cried when one of the pigs, Pinkie, was taken away to be slaughtered.
• Fourth, Hilda has fallen seriously ill with chest infection that she might die. Mrs Brandon says she is getting better but i think something bad might happen to her. Hilda is getting fed up with Somerset and intends to go to London as soon as she feels better.
• Last, as Gertie is going in and out of the village, she is getting engaged with alot of conversations with the villagers which she completely despises and promises that it will stop.

i feel Gertie is this sinister, will-be murderer who is completely selfish although she  took in Hilda and Ellen. Doug said Gertie was taking advantage of both of them by making hilda and Ellen work and cook all day. At this point i dont know what will happen next whether hilda will die,leave to london or get kidnapped by Gertie! We'll know through the coming chapters. :)

I hate rain.

So we didnt have school today but I really wanted to go to school !! i have studied all day yesterday for that physics  test and they just canceled skool :@ Erghh.. i dislike rain, now this whole "i love rain" quote was so last year, this year its "rain , you are tedious , go away".... 

Chapter 1-3 Lost Angel

Well the story starts during a war in London. Hilda and her daughter Ellen are fighting for their lives as they are caught up in a bomb raid. After the bombing was over, Hilda went out of her house finding her entire neighborhood destroyed,including her parent's house. Devastated by the death of her parents, Hilda take her child Ellen and flees to Somerset, a city in the countryside. There, she and Ellen stay with and old friend Gertie.

Projects !

Wow ! so i haven't posted in a long while and am reaallly reaally happy we're done with the literature questions. We're working on the media project and the interview this week and hopefully we'll get it done soon. I got the Kitty Neale's book and it looks eerie , too big and depressing :/
So anyways i hope it rains tonight so we don't have school tomorrow O.o
